CARPENTER TURNED COMPUTER PROGRAMMER BUILDS BRIDGE FOR FELLOW CONTRACTORS
"Gearing Up to Rid Website Mystique"
November 1st, 2007 - The founder of ContraSites who is also the founder of Benspost.org formed 2 years ago has begun a new venture to help his fellow contractors maintain and promote their own websites. He's put together a small team of developers and designers to build these websites and claims to be "Removing the mystic about owning and maintaining your own website" while vowing to make it more affordable.
"I've gained a lot of experience from Benspost.org when it comes to helping contractors navigate their way around my site as well as create their own webpage profiles and I want to take it to the next level and help them do the same thing with their own websites."
Ben's previous venture, "Benspost.org" is the catapult to his new venture and he say's he's starting out with the same principals that he started out with when creating benspost.org. "It's designed with uberease for the users and a simple and straight forward approach to connecting homeowners with contractors" and "With ContraSites I've connected contractors with thier own websites in that same way" said Ben.
"Most of the contractors didn't grow up in the internet generation, and I feel there is no better way then to get excited about the internet than when you have your own website that you can be in control of" Ben said "Not only that but the internet is not going anywhere and more and more people are looking online to find their handyman or plumber"
Ben say's that since most contractors are usually busy on the job site they aren't able to spend as much time behind the computer trying to figure out how to learn to maintain their own sites. Subsequentially they end up having to hire a company that will charge them an upward of $40-$100 a month to manage an update their sites and as a result of those high prices many contractors don't see the value of owning their own websites, he say's he plans to "Change all of that". Ben say's he offers one hosting plan for $8.95 a month that includes the Web Manager interface that will give each contractor the ability to maintain and promote their website with ease.
"Owning a website that you can't control is like owning a vehicle that you can't drive" said Ben, "I'm going to put these contractors in the driver seat"
ContraSites Inc. tailors it's services around helping contractors get their small businesses promoted on the web and help them manage their website via a self management web interface.
